Dr. Alicia McIntosh is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and joined Complete Women’s Care Center in 2013. She is originally from Waco, Texas. She then moved to Fort Worth where she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas Christian University in 2004 with a degree in Chemistry. She was inducted into the national honor societies Phi Beta Kappa and Mortar Board. During college, Dr. McIntosh took the opportunity to study in Paris, France at La Sorbonne- University of Paris where she fell in love with the city. In 2009, she earned her Medical Doctorate from The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Dr. McIntosh completed her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Hermann Hospital in 2013. In residency, Dr. McIntosh received the Residency Research Award for the top research project. The focus of her research was on one of the basic science aspects of infertility.
Dr. McIntosh was recently honored as one of Houston’s “Top Doctors” by H-Texas Magazine for 2014 and 2015.
With her husband working in the oil and gas industry as an engineer, Dr. McIntosh intends to make Houston her permanent home. She loves developing lifelong relationships with her patients and values a trusting, respectful patient-doctor relationship. She enjoys all aspects of her job from the annual gynecological visits to the honor of helping women through pregnancy, childbirth, and beyond. She loves having the opportunity to educate her patients about their obstetric and gynecologic health and working with them collectively throughout their lives. She has a particular interest in breastfeeding, breastfeeding complications, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, and is trained in daVinci robotic surgery.
In her spare time, Dr. McIntosh enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with her husband, Chris, and their children, Hunter Hawkins and Carlyle Grace.
